Robert Ferris joins Marine Offshore Renewable group executive board

It was announced this week that Feritech’s director Robert Ferris was unanimously voted onto the Marine Offshore Renewables (MOR) group executive board.
The MOR group supports business specifically in the South West of the UK in the marine renewable energy sector, bringing together developers, engineers, manufacturers, consultancies and many more. The group offers a number of benefits to members such as networking opportunities, an increased business profile and the potential to collaborate with other members.

Robert brings 15 years marine geotechnical, offshore and business experience to the board and recognises the key role that members of the MOR group play and how it is integral to have a representative board, commenting “Cornwall is steeped in maritime history and innovation that shaped the world as we know it, Richard Trevithick inventor of the steam locomotive and John Arnold who gave us the marine chronometer for example. Since our inception in 2012 Feritech has constantly striven to continue this innovative tradition driving the boundaries of marine technology, delivering new subsea sensors and advanced geotechnical tools to name but a few. We have come a long way in a short period and will continue to offer new products and services to the global offshore sector. Being voted onto the board of the Marine Offshore Renewables group will allow me to work alongside the other innovative marine companies based here in the South West, and by working together we can take on greater challenges and achieve even more”.
