FT570 Marine seafloor CPT

The Feritech FT570 seafloor CPT system shows the way for the latest generation CPT technology

Simple to use, quick to mobilise with advanced features and class leading results. This flexible system can be deployed from a vessel or or platform, and can be configured with a thrust capacity from 50kN through to 400kN.

The advanced chain drive system can accommodate 25mm,36mm and 45mm rods ensuring the system is truly flexible. The CPT drive units have been designed to be modular, giving the user maximum flexibility. The unit can be configured with a dead weight of between 5 and 45 tonnes, using the modular ballast, meaning that this CPT can be used on small vessels and large vessels a like.

The same CPT drive unit can be put into an integrated frame with our vibrocorer and heat flow probe to allow for single deployment for all three sampling tools.

Digital cones

Feritech digital cones use best in class electronics to capture the very best data quality. High resolution, ultra low noise 24 bit AD converters are used for all analogue channels ensuring not only the tip, sleeve and pore sensors obtain accurate data but also the built in magnetometers and inclinometers too. The housing are all made from 316 marine grade austenitic stainless steel ensuring a long and reliable life. The tips are hardened using a chemical process to extend their usable lifespan.

Feritech offer full calibration services to ISO certified standards. New cones and spare parts for all cones are available from stock and every cone has its service history and calibration data stored internally so a user can read the history of cone just by plugging it in.
