Feritech is very happy to announce that we have the go ahead to build our state-of-the-art facility on our land just outside Falmouth, Cornwall. The new 3.5 acre site will greatly increase Feritech‘s manufacturing capabilities and the services offered to both local and established global client base.
The new facility opening in 2021 will have a large fabrication facility capable of handling up to 20 ton fabrications, this is complemented with a brand-new machining hall handling all manner of precision machined parts. Feritech’s design, electrical, electronic and hydraulic capabilities will also be increased in line with the increased subcontract projects the company is looking to fulfil.
Research and development within the offshore renewable energy sector will always be a primary operation of the company and this new facility will allow us to embark on new challenges within this sector providing solutions for customers quickly while controlling the quality of process from start to finish under one roof.
The building has been designed to prove that industry and the environment can co-exist. The site will harvest its own water, use ground source to heat the offices and a solar roof with power storage to generate our electricity. The site will have over 5000 trees planted and use a pond to capture all the surface run off from the site acting as a heat store and providing vital habitat for wildlife.
