Constant Tension Winches
We specialise in manufacturing Constant Tension (CT) computer-controlled winches.
CT winches are used to achieve a constant line-pull, where the pull force is set by the user and changed in real time as required. We offer various models of CT winches with the line-pull constantly monitored by a load cell.
The winch constantly monitors the line-pull and pays in or pays out the umbilical data cable or wire rope to maintain the required tension. We design and manufacture CT winches with pull forces from 200kg to over 5 tonnes, that perform safely and effectively in the most challenging marine environments.
Our winches complement our geotechnical equipment and have the option for Vibrocorer and CPT controllers to be built-in. This means that mobilisation is incredibly fast, especially on vessels of opportunity.
